Jon Pfnister- Vice President of Feed

Experience:  25+ years in the agriculture industry; Began with CPI in January 2007
Education:    Bachelor of Science in Economics from Colorado State
 

Jon has worked with feed companies in Nebraska and Michigan, where he helped improve sales and profitability. He was the recipient of the Leadership award in 2000, and the Presidents Award in 2001 and 2002. During his time with CPI, Jon has focused on continuous quality improvement and progress on product and service quality improvement. During his 25+ years experience, Jon has led Feed divisions in several states in the Midwest. His background includes operations supervisor, business management, quality systems, and accounting analysis. Jon is most focused on helping CPI Feed Division become the leader in our market area for value, quality, service and sales.

Gerry Glade-
Beef & Swine Nutritionist

Experience:  Began with CPI in 1994; Lifetime in the Agriculture Industry
Education:    Degree from UW-Madison Farm Short Course

 
Gerry has accomplished many things while working in his field of agriculture. He is proud of his ability to gain customers trust in his judgment and respect for his decisions. This has resulted in being able to have a great working relationship with many young people connected with their 4-H or FFA projects.  When Gerry started at CPI he made changes and additions to the CPI complete Livestock Show Feed Program. Gerry was also one of the two employees to set up and run CPI’s in house feed tags program.  Gerry has attended many sales and feed training workshops sponsored by numerous leaders in the livestock industry.
 
Gerry is a Vietnam War Veteran. He and his wife Connie have 2 married sons and 2 granddaughters. He is a licensed swine livestock judge and likes to spend his spare time at livestock shows or his granddaughters sporting events.  He thoroughly enjoys meeting and working with people of the agriculture sector around the area.

Scott Bascom, PhD.- Dairy Specialist

Experience:  10+ in the Industry; Began with CPI in 2004
Education:  Masters degree from the University of New Hampshire and a PhD from Virginia Tech 

 
Scott is an important asset to the Feed department. In his time at CPI he has worked with the feed team to develop new lines of feed, such as CPI’s 18% calf pellet starter and CPI’s Prefresh Dry Cow Feed.  Scott also has conducted several on farm feeding trails to demonstrate the value of the products CPI carries including, Cow’s Match Milk Replacer, Land O Lakes Colostrum Replacement, and Diamond V yeast.  Scott has been able to help customers implement new ideas and new technologies that improve their farm operation. 

Scott aims to provide customers with a high level of service that meets the needs of their farm operation and is part of a team that strives to provide consistent service, high quality products, and timely advice that exceeds the expectations of customers.  His family owned a dairy farm in New Hampshire and after finishing four years of college he worked on the family farm as herd manager.  Scott’s highest priority is to develop solutions to problems that encounter on farms and help customers implement solutions for their problems.

Steve Haldiman- Dairy & Beef Nutritionist

Experience:  15+ years in the industry; Began with CPI in 1997
Education:  Bachelor of Science in Animal Nutrition from UW-Platteville

 
Steve is most proud of being able to help producers become more profitable and achieving their goals, whether it is milk production, reproduction, heifer development, or forage management. While employed at CPI, Steve has helped initiate a bulk storage facility in Clinton for Fresh Cut and Silage Savor Plus. By installing bulk storage tanks, this reduced the cost of our products and CPI was able to pass these savings onto our patrons and customers.

While Steve attended UW-Platteville, he was involved in a research study on accelerated feeding programs for dairy replacement heifers. He also looked at 1st lactation milk production based on feeding program and age at calving. 

Steve enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Kristine, and 2 sons, Seth and Matthew, as well as deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting, fishing and golf.

Kristina Wilken- Equine Sales Specialist

Experience:  Began with CPI in 2000
Education:    Bachelors degree from the University of Idaho in Agri-Business; Animal Science emphasis

 
Kristina has successfully helped expand the Equine Feed area in the last year. While increasing sales, she has learned the in’s and out’s of fertilizers and sprays for pasture and lawn care, which has helped when talking to horse owners about feed. Kristina has also worked to expand the pasture care program.  She is very interested in getting to know people’s backgrounds and their future plans for their horse’s and farm. 

Kristina is the proud mom of Wyatt and Kaylinn.
