Propane Gas

Propane gas is one of the most versatile sources of energy available. When used correctly, it is a very safe form of energy. However, when a propane gas system is not properly maintained or is used improperly, propane can be destructive and deadly.

Running out of propane may be one of the biggest risks you face. To reduce the chances of running out, contact our office and ask to be placed on our Route Delivery Program.

If you want your propane tank painted or have questions about your tank, contact Alex Grossi, VP of Energy, at 262-767-2020, or agrossi@cooperativeplus.com

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I run out of gas?

If you run out of gas, certain procedures can ensure your safety. Cooperative Plus will require someone to be at home at the time of your propane gas delivery. This allows your delivery driver to enter your house, check your system for leaks, and light all pilot lights. Our gas delivery drivers are prohibited from leaving gas in your tank if you are not at home and they can’t enter your home to check the system and light all pilot lights.

What is a second-stage regulator and why is it important?

When our delivery drivers deliver your propane gas, they also check the date on your second-stage regulator. All second-stage regulators that are 15 years old or older will need to be replaced. If your regulator needs to be replaced, you will receive a notice and must make an appointment to have the regulator changed before your next gas delivery. You must be home so we can ensure that your system is free of leaks and light all your pilot lights.
